Administration page

The Administration page in AppFaktors provides access to key management tools for organizing users, tracking system changes, and creating templates. This page is crucial for maintaining the overall structure and security of your AppFaktors environment.

To access the Administration page, click Administration in the left pane.

Features

1. Organizations

   Organizations represent company business units. Use the Organizations feature to structure your company's hierarchy within AppFaktors.

2. Teams

   The Teams feature groups people into functional units based on their roles or projects. Teams can be cross-functional or organization-specific.

3. Users

   Users are people in the organization who will be using the platform. Use the Users feature to manage individual user accounts and control access and permissions for each user. Regularly review and update user accounts for security.

4. System Audit Log

   Use the System Audit Log feature to track changes made by system users, providing a record of all actions taken within the system for accountability and troubleshooting.

5. Template

   Use the Template feature to generate text blocks with embedded model variables that are evaluated at runtime and can be used for sending emails or other use cases. Great for developing dynamic and reusable content.

• Regular Audits: Periodically review organizations, teams, and user accounts to ensure they reflect current company structure and needs.

• Least Privilege: When setting up users and teams, follow the principle of least privilege and give users only the access they need to perform their roles.

• Standardization: Use consistent naming conventions for organizations and teams to maintain clarity.

• Documentation: Keep detailed records of the purpose and members of each organization and team.

• Template Management: Regularly review and update templates to ensure they remain relevant and accurate.

• Audit Log Reviews: Schedule regular reviews of the System Audit Log to proactively identify unusual activities or potential security issues.

• User Training: Provide training for users on how to use the system properly, emphasizing the importance of security and proper data handling.

• Backup: Regularly back up your administrative settings, especially before making significant changes.
